The Inovus Solar™ off-grid solar light pole is a self-contained outdoor light pole that utilizes solar energy to power an LED lighting system and produce long lasting, quality light off the power grid.
How the Inovus Solar™ off-grid light pole reduces energy costs:
Driving down energy costs is a compelling benefit to adopting the Inovus Solar™ off-grid pole but there’s more:
How It Works:
The major components of the Inovus Solar™ off-grid solar light pole include the solar collector skin, the batteries, and the intelligent controllers. The solar collector captures light during daytime hours and passes it onto the charge controller which manages the power from the solar collector and optimizes the stored power in the batteries. The batteries release power to the LED luminaires and other system electronics. The onboard computer monitors the health of all system components and modifies the system as conditions require. This computer is at the heart of making the amorphous solar collector work well even though it’s standing vertically.
Intellectual Property:
The original Inovus Solar™ patent covers the integrated thin-film on the pole with batteries inside the passively-cooled pole interior. This is the only solar pole that keeps the batteries and electronics cool – insuring maximum performance and long system life.
Additional patent applications have also been filed by Inovus Solar™. These include specific and important system features such as the energy management system, wireless monitoring and control, along with the grid-connected system. The first patent issued on June 8, 2010 as U.S. Patent No. 7,731,383.
